Information You Choose to Submit
Names Entered in Search Tools
When you enter a name, location, or other term into a search box, the query is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates the search service. St. Louis City Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy controls its collection and use after the query is sent.
Emails and Contact Messages
If you email us or submit a message through a contact form, we retain the information needed to understand and answer your request. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Technical Details Collected During a Visit
Servers, analytics providers, and related services may automatically record ordinary technical information when a page loads, including:
- The internet protocol address associated with the request
- The browser name and version used to view the page
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and the approximate time spent on them
- The referring website, when that information is available
- The date and time of each request
Cookie Controls
Cookies and similar technologies help measure how visitors move through the site and which material is useful. You can reject or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may cause some site or partner features to work differently.
How Information Supports the Service
- Operate the site and maintain reasonable loading performance
- Send search requests to the appropriate outside search provider
- Measure which St. Louis City release-record pages visitors find useful
- Diagnose errors, broken links, and other technical problems
- Display advertising that may be selected according to inferred interests
Government and Third-Party Destinations
Links may lead to St. Louis City Corrections, the St. Louis City Justice Center, Missouri DOC, Missouri Case.net, federal locators, legal resources, and independent search tools. Missouri public records are subject to the Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and the government office that holds a record controls access to it. Once you leave this site, the destination’s own privacy notice and data practices apply.
Advertising partners may use their systems to recognize activity across different sites and select interest-based advertising. That cross-site processing occurs through the partner’s technology rather than through a personal-information database maintained here.
Limited Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. Information may nevertheless be received by the following service providers or authorities when necessary:
- Search partners that process the queries submitted to their tools
- Analytics providers that measure visits and site performance
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertisements
- Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use standard administrative and technical practices intended to protect information in our control. No website, network, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that information will never be intercepted, accessed without permission, lost, or misused.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal information may use the Contact Us page to request review and deletion.
Privacy Choices and Requests
